Most animals aren't offensively aggressive by nature. Almost all tend to be aggressive when they are being defensive or what they consider their territory or when they are hunting specific prey as food. Many even try to use bluffing techniques so they don't have to engage with aggression.
If a solo wolf comes across some humans, it's probably just going to be curious and not assert much as long as you don't give it any negative attention. They're just like any other creature that feels the need for attention and affection.
