You might find something interesting if you researched the narrative thrust of the "prophetic" books of the OT outside of the superstitious beliefs you have about them. They were socio-political commentary...and as is often the case with pundits..."Daniel" fucked the pooch and got it wrong.
Or you can continue to express your own credulity, implicating the author of a magic book in countless tragedies unseen and unforetold in addition to painting him as an idiot.
