Anti Trans And Why It Fails

Aside from the fact that you know a few things, but clearly you understand nothing, what do you expect people to say?

Trans people are more likely to suffer from clinical depression and anxiety than other people based on their perception of the world.
Trans people suicide at a rate 9X higher than straight people.
According to the ACLU around 50% can't find jobs and 70% are likely to be homeless at any given time.
A higher percentage of trans people report being assaulted by law enforcement than black people.
Trans people believe they are not treated with the same respected as other customers by service industry workers.
Etc.
Etc.
Etc.

In every meaningful way, it's pretty obvious that it's trans people who are failing. They're pretty much fucked without even having the pleasure of a friendly reach-around. Meanwhile, the overwhelming evidence shows that if someone is "anti-trans" the world is their oyster.

You really don't want to have any kind of meaningful discussion about how to remedy the situation or why your  particular brand of dumbfuckery hasn't helped the transgender community in the last 75 years. You just want people to pat you on the head and tell you what a good puppy you are. So, I've decided to just erase the rest of my response, grab a danish, and download a good Cagne film.

I am a transgender female, and I have never been happier!!



P.S. I do experience discrimination somewhat, but am still self-employed, somewhat gainfully. (On the other hand, being trans has, I think, also helped me somewhat, as there are some who sympathize with trans individuals.)

P.P.S. Law enforcement officers where I live treat me with the highest of respect; in fact, I have had sherrif's deputies who have gone out of their way to open doors for me!

P.P.P.S. No problems with customer service; I just ignore rude people.
