Favorite Book From Childhood

I don't think I read books as a kid. I've always been a very reluctant reader. I remember having to stay after school every day in the third grade to read those stupid SRAs or whatever they were called. Probably the first real book I read was the summer after 10th grade. I bought the first book in Anne McCaffrey's Dragonriders of Pern series and devoured it in a matter of days. Not an example of high literature, but that's where I got my start.
