We can compare our results to that of others and to the desired goals and determine how reliable it is. That's called science.
In any event, the fact that it is a product of evolution adds credibility IMO. The process of natural selection filters what works from what doesn't so things that survive the evolutionary process would tend to be more in alignment with reality. That isn't a guarantee, but I don't see why anybody would conclude that being a product of evolution would make something more suspect. Anything that is the product of design would require knowledge of the designer's true intent and if that is not know then we'd be in the same position of having to validate the results.

Perhaps, but we have little choice. The only thing we can do about that is continue to use the tools we have to search for more knowledge and better tools.
