I don't think that is generally assumed to be the case. God is with us.
Exactly.

Now... if there is some diety "... Outside the boundaries of this universe.. " then that puts said critter something like 13 odd billion years away from us.
Y'now, the whole 'Outside what we can see/Outside space and time' thing?
So... if said deity is all the way over/back there... How then exactly does it interact with things here and now?
Not at work.
His throne is there but He resides here as well.

That way you're getting an explanation from me per our discussion, and I'm not saying he's correct/incorrect without him being able to provide his thoughts on the matter.
God exists in many ways, so no reason to assume limits.
Spiritually both within and outside of us.
Physically as Jesus Christ, and through the design of his creation.
Psa 139:8 If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there.
Matt 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
1 Cor 6:19-20 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.
Luke 19:40 And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.
Agreed!

No, it doesn't.
God is everywhere.
"God is everywhere" .....
Um no, this is just our species looking at pretty things in life, and ignoring all the nasty things.
It is possible to value beauty and good in life, and at the same time see the nasty things in life and see both as natural and not a comic book battle between Superman and Lex Luther.
Saying that ecoli is natural, is not saying you want it to affect you. Saying that a tornado is natural also does not mean you want it to affect you. Saying crime happens is also not saying you think it is good.
Both the good and bad that happen in life are natural, not a product of old mythology.
I can still value my late mother, my pet cat, and my best friend without chalking those things up to a super hero.
I see tons of beauty in an ocean view on a calm day, but I don't ignore the fact hurricanes and tsunamis kill humans. Both are natural events.
