I wasn't criticizing your taste in comedy. My complaint with Seinfeld was half serious/half jest.
Seinfeld I never got into, say outside one or two episodes. He is really a New York motif.
But, the motif he popularized about "the show about nothing" wasn't really new. Long before Seinfeld "Three's Company" depicted the same misdirection and self absorbed motifs. "Three's Company" certainly had more moral plot lines, but was one of the first to make selfishness a main part of the plot.
