Pam Reynolds was in the same category, someone who claimed something beyond the natural World.
It snowed where I live this morning (eastern Iowa); I saw a snow plow that went down my street at least 2 times around 6 AM CST, but after that, none have come back, as large portions of the empty street remain unplowed. Does anyone here doubt my claim?
No. Claims regarding mundane experiences (snowfall in Iowa in January) can generally be accepted without much ado. If you were to claim six feet of snow in Dar es Salaam, I might have an issue with your claim.
'No testimony is sufficient to establish a miracle unless it is of such a kind that its falsehood would be more miraculous than the fact that it tries to establish.' - David Hume. In the case of alien abductions, NDEs, OBEs, cryptids and the like, it is much more reasonable to accept that the testimony given is either honestly mistaken or deliberately fraudulent than that the events actually occurred as reported.
