Yea, pretty damned sure that if a majority did exist that believed in a "celestial alligator" were basing government law on that belief, and justifying discrimination on such a belief, you'd rightfully have a problem with that.
It isn't a matter of banning religion, as if one could on a planet of 7 billion. But yea, I do have a problem with religious based laws that set up social pecking orders, just like both you and I would have a hard time living in Saudi Arabia or Iran whom do base government law on social pecking orders.
Please stop falsely assuming because an atheist objects to bad logic, or religious laws, that we are anti human rights.
I value human rights, but I damned sure at the same time am going to question bad logic at the same time.
