Darwin published in 1859, died in 1882....but no one noticed Mendel until 1900. Now he's regarded as the "father of genetics". Darwin died without any understanding of the mechanism by which the traits on which natural selection worked were produced.(January 30, 2019 at 6:51 pm)Gae Bolga Wrote: Hey look at that, you got something right by accident. What is his name and how did that come about with the monk? Interesting.
Common descent is a conclusion of genetics, not natural selection. You can argue and disagree and dismiss darwin until you're blue in the face, but it won't do anything but leave you blue in the face. You get your genetic material from your parents. If two subjects share genetic material, then so far as we can tell..they share a parent. You share various amounts of your genetic material with all life on earth.
If god designed you, he designed you by common descent.
