On submission to authority, His point was that all governance are in place under the providence of God.  So submit to the power He has in place.  The wicked powers are in place due to the behaviors of the people.  If people acted right we would not have an authoritarian government like we have today spying on and harassing people to name a couple things.

One shuold respect authority... For as long as said authority is still doing the things for which it garners our respect. So, since respect has to be earned. Those of authority have to do things such that they deserve said repsect.

Just sitting back and claiming to have done everything is worth... well...nothing.

At least under the All Father, there's a big drive for people to own their own destiny etc. Plus a Pantheon has less problems with the whole notion of "Problem of evil" since some of the bad things that happen... happen for random reasons between diety's etc.

I believe random things can still happen but in regards to governing nations, the Lord is in control.  In the Bible, when the Lord's people behave poorly they find themselves being led by unrighteous leaders.  This is what is happening around the world today, including in the US.  Just to clarify Peebo.

The Lord is in control, I agree.  The Lord can use evil but He Himself is not evil.  It is our fault we are in the situation we are in now.  The Constitution of the US is a great document to protect us from the ills of a poorly led governing nation but even that has it's limits when there are intelligence agencies and secret societies running rampant in the US, doing whatever they please to an extent.

I went to Catholic high school and had religion class for 4 years.  I made my Communion and Confirmation in the Catholic church (I am now more of a protestant though). For periods of my life I attended church every week.  I study the Bible and I belong to a Christian forum which I visit daily.

I try really hard to be an honest person so that is not true what you say about me.  I am not brainwashed either.  I do not advocate slavery.  I know the Lord allowed slavery and had rules for it but it existed in those times and He just added regulation to it.  It was to be led by righteous leaders that would take care of their slaves, not abuse them.  So I am against slavery.

He conquered sin when He was here for man.  He atoned for sin.  He definitely got the job done when He was here.  His message is followed by church members the world over still today.
