Hm, I'm not sure what's been up Yon's ass lately. He's had something against me ever since I called him out for his childish nonsense in the thread about cannabis convictions in San Fran.
In this thread, I was basically agreeing with Yon and even supporting his claim that some Flat-Earthers are just trolls. But he still found something to argue with me about, despite the fact that his bit about "borrowed knowledge" is totally off-base. "Borrowed knowledge" is when people regurgitate things they've heard or read without fact-checking it for themselves. I was literally trying to say the opposite, that people should be taught how to perform experiments themselves that very easily show the Earth is round through simple logic.
I'm not suggesting this in the sense that we should even entertain Flat-Earth idiots, but rather to show children the importance of scientific experimentation and skeptical thinking; to show them that, hey, you can perform these experiments YOURSELF and prove to yourself certain truths about the reality around us. This concept applies to many different facets of our world, not just the shape of our planet.
So yea, not sure where he's seeing "borrowed knowledge" in that.
If you're frightened of dying, and you're holding on, you'll see devils tearing your life away. But if you've made your peace, then the devils are really angels, freeing you from the Earth.
