Yes, I read it. He really tested Job.  Job stayed loyal.

Whether or not Job remained loyal is irrelevant. God sanctioned the gratuitous murders of Job's family and servants, the wanton destruction of Job's property, and finally a perverted assault on Job's person---all to win a bet with the Devil. Being omniscient, God would have already known the outcome of said events. Such a "test" was not only immoral, it was completely unnecessary.

Here we see God behaving not only as a tyrant and bully, but as a psychopathic, homicidal criminal. You are, indeed, a hypocrite and a liar.

If you worship such a being and approve of his actions, it only indicates your debased morals, lack of intelligence, and questionable level of sanity.
