I saw your request for citation 30 minutes ago. I have been looking, and I swear I read it before. I just can't find it. I will let you know later. Sorry.
Here's a pro tip for you.
When you come to a forum to make a claim, where the vast majority of people use critical thinking to come to their beliefs and reject unsupported beliefs, you need to come with some ammunition to support your claim.
We are unlikely to believe a random theist on the internet, especially one with an obvious bias.
Did you really think that we'd just believe you without some evidence?
But lets say, for arguments sale, I accept your claim, that people with NDE's have zero brain activity. Please draw a logical connection (with valid and sound modus ponens) from; people with NDE's have zero brain activity, to, therefore god. I'll even make it easier for you, draw a logical connection (with valid and sound modus ponens) from; people with NDE's have zero brain activity, to, therefore the supernatural.
How did would you go about eliminating ALL other natural explanations? How would you even consider god to be a candidate explanation?
Because, from what I can tell, all you have is a classic argument from ignorance fallacy. "I can't come up with a natural explanation for how someone could have zero brain activity, be revived with interesting stories...therefore god (or soul)".
Sorry, but you not being able to come up with a natural explanation, offers zero evidence for a god or soul.
You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.
