Criminals do serve and run some churches... and some daycares, political organizations, governments, social groups, law firms, etc.

But none of them are declaring themselves pinnacles or morality 

Stealing is stealing, even if it's for a good reason/ just cause.

Which begs the question

As to the pont in lack of faith. I do have a lack of faith in God sometimes, usually because I believe I know how to better do something.

That's a poor reason 

Not because God hasn't shown time and again that He is powerful enough to turn it to good,

He has not 

but because the levels of atrocities and evils people propagate on each other is nearly unfathomable and truely scary.
