I am not suffering under any false assumptions. I'm saying that we have to recognize the validity of what others feel violated by. If you don't respect that in others, then you aren't in any position to expect that your boundaries be respected.
This is especially true in the case of transsexuals, because their sense of self identity revolves around a postmodern personal truth. Postmodern personal truth isn't something that can be forced onto others without invalidating the entire concept of postmodern personal truth.
We do not inherit the world from our parents. We borrow it from our children.
