I think Richard Wagner's RIP is especially ironic. The "Ride of the Valkyries" (German: Walkürenritt or Ritt der Walküren) refers to the beginning of act 3 of Die Walküre, the second of the four operas constituting Richard Wagner's Der Ring des Nibelungen. This is perhaps his most emotionally stirring work. Unfortunately (or perhaps fortunately, depending on your point of view), this work may be most known to future generations as the, "Kill the Wabbit" song.
