And while metal detectors do work, where does it stop, because schools are not the only place active shooters happen? This is ridiculous expecting every business, every grade school, every middle school, every high school, every bar, every shopping center, every movie theater, every office building in the country to have metal detectors just to coddle the insecurities of Rambo wannabes?
The cheapest way to reduce firearm violence is to vet better at the time of sale, waiting periods, theft proof gun safes, red flag laws for disturbed or mentally ill people, regardless of motive.
