Poets and playwrights were always doing that sort of thing, whenever Shakespeare was stuck for a word he'd just invent one. It just sticks in my craw whenever preachy idiots like these JesusWeenies misuse words to promote their agenda, or denigrate opposition; "ween" is a word in its own right, but the "ween" in hallowe'en is totally unrelated. It's not dissimilar to Kent Hovind's "Universe: uni = one + verse = spoken word or sentence" crap.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'
