You fixated on it as a distraction from my point ( with citation) of the fact that being killed by a cop is pretty unlikely. You don't want to address that, and judging by your conduct so far - I don' t expect an acknowledgement.

I admit that I fixated on it, because it was a bloody stupid thing for you to say.  You want to own guns, fine.  You want to argue in support of gun rights, I'm fine with that as well.  But you're not doing your side any favours by bringing up an outrageously unlikely scenario to make your point.

Yes, I agree that getting killed by a cop is unlikely for anyone.  But - spin it however you like, it won't make it any less true - a black person is more likely to be killed by a cop than is a white person.

I'm a liberal, so I'm unlikely to be enamoured with any other mythology, now am I?

It's not as " bloody stupid thing to say"  - It's a hypothetical situation. You can change " axe" for " hammer", " lead pipe", "Your mother's dildo" or whatever you like. It's not important.

You just chose to make an issue of it to avoid the point -
