I remember first encountering the term, as a Christian fundamentalist, in the late 1980s while arguing with atheists on the Usenet group alt.atheism.
Then you must surely know your case is a rarity. Usually theists come here to proselytize and confirm their beliefs. This email request is fishy. I thought there was a rule against that, because there is an email on the first post.

Atheists tend to claim to have the monopoly on reason and rationality over against us "religious folk." I thought maybe some of you would like to demonstrate that.
