The point is, that if Brian37 made a single thread advertising the fact, that he hasn't listened to any new music since the fall of the Berlin Wall, we'd all soon learn to ignore it, and - after a few pages of taking the p*ss - the thread would die, to be bumped only by the original poster. New threads with vague titles and virtually no content except for youtube links, make people click at least once, especially if they haven't learned to check the name of the OP beforehand. It's click-bait.
Why he's so desperate for everyone to be reminded, that he has the musical taste of a depressed 80's stripper is beyond me, but hey - whatever keeps him from posting his poetry...
