If not, why can't liberals be pro-corporations? Perhaps you are confusing liberals with progressives, who are only a subset of liberals.
Liberals can be pro-corporations.
But the Mainstream News Media organizations don't have a liberal bias. They have a corporate bias. They are driven in large part by sensationalism, not by any liberal ideology. Sensationalism is what sells (even for FOX News, who actually ARE largely conservative biased). But no mainstream media news organization is what you'd call 'Liberal'. They often frame questions from a purely conservative framing, usually in order to suit their sponsors. FOX News of course, takes it to the absurd, and pushes the conservative agenda -- mainly because that's their target audience. It's why you'll hear Tucker Carlson say "White Nationalism isn't a problem" on Fox News. Pure sensationalism with a strong conservative bias. MSNBC and CNN will definitely have news that skews Liberal, but only to a point. They're far more moderate than most people realize because conservatives keep moving further and further right, and they try to drag the middle right with them.
