Hello Lek!
So, how do you think 'Ghosts' work? What might be some of their properties or mechanisms?
Also, where are the boundaries of your supernature?
Ghosts are evidently in there. What about pixies? Demons? Djinn? Dragons? Oni?
Just curious.
Cheers.
Hello. I don't know how ghosts work except they seem to float and appear and disappear I believe in their existence because of first-hand testimony. Same with demons. Pixies? Dragons, etc? I don't know. Never had anyone I knew and trusted testify to seeing them. I also believe in mystical experiences.
How do you know that this first hand testimony was not a misidentification of some other, wholly natural event? How do you know that this first hand testimony was not a misinterpretation of some wholly natural, nonstandard brains state?
There are 1000's of people that claim to have been abducted by aliens. Some of these experiences are shared. Others have been observed by multiple bystanders.
Do you believe these events occurred as the people reported them?
If someone that you knew and trusted, reported to see a dragon, would that provide any more credibility to their claim?
You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.
