Only one post so far and, no responses to any of our posts. Could it be a sock stirring things up?
I'd like to give them the benefit of the doubt, and think that they have been mulling over some of our points, and reevaluating their initial position, but I am not sure I have that much confidence in theists any more after spending years discussing these things with them.

You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.
