I have two Facebook friends who are Christians and they post stuff like this almost every day.
Ok, so you established that good Christians preach against hateful rhetoric that bad Christians have, but do you think it has any effect on bad Christians? Like for instance on Lek here, do you think we'll see him as a best man on some gay wedding any time soon or do you think it's more likely he'll continue preaching how gay people are sinners/ evil?
No, many Christians will still view homosexuality as wrong, just like divorce, affairs, sex before marriage, atheism, being non-Christian etc... but they'll likely not care one way or other about what political and legal privileges are afforded them. No more care about gay marriage as a legal right, than atheists being able to marry.
Homosexuality isn't unlikely to register for such believers since it's such a small population. If my daughter were gay, both I, my community, family would have to deal with in a more personal way, confront it, in some way we never had to before as a personal issue, and not some distance political one.
