Well, the other difference (hopefully) is the mass shooter doesn't plan to eat his kill.
I had to buy a second deep freeze last year - as I got 3 bucks and 2 does. A good year.
This year is gonna be insane.
Hunting with a Bushnaster .450 Bushmaster. The new cartridge in a Bushnaster AR15 platform. I am getting consistant groups under 2 inches at 200 yards. Sub MOA. I start shooting 300 yards with it this week.
My blind I hunt from - where I have gotten at least 2 deer every year since 2006 - is in the sweetest of sweet spots this year. In between two 30 acre fields - corn on one - soybean on the other. Many of the adjoining fields are fallow this year - due the wet weather earlier this year.
We have deer on the field every day - including a set of twin 6 point bucks - that travel together.
To top it off - my SO and my sister are both taking hunter's safety - and are getting licenses and want to hunt.
I will have 5 tags - and if they both get a buck and doe tag - we could end up needing to buy another freezer.
Or two.
I'm making a buttload of jerky this year.
