Im not sure I answered the op.  

For me I once prayed to FSM for a bit of cash, a month later I found a twenty on the ground.

I can't figure out any other way other than FSM's divine intervention that it could happen.

Not if you were praying to the wrong god. Only if you were praying to the right god, would finding the twenty be due to god. If you were praying to the wrong god, it would only be a coincidence.

Lucky you were praying to the right god.

Because the cum hoc ergo propter hoc fallacy is completely convincing.

I often contemplate, what if I had been foolish and picked one of those other lesser false gods.
