I’ve sat with a number of people as they’ve died.
My experience is that it is the religious people who generally have more fear of dying than the non religious.
And I don’t think it’s necessarily a fear of death but what they believe comes after. You see I suspect, for many, their religion sets such a high standard for getting into “heaven”, or the ways of getting in are so contradictory, that many believe they’ll end up in “hell” anyway.
