I'm sure we'll be hearing from all those people worried about National Security because of Hillary's Emails, how much of a threat to National Security THIS is.
If one of us barged into a congressional meeting -- let alone the SCIF Room -- you can best believe we'd be dragged out. Hell, we could stage a protest OUTSIDE Of McConnell's office, and be in a wheelchair and still be dragged out. But apparently Capitol Police can't bother to drag these bozos out. (Keep in mind that there ARE Republicans on these committees. Including Devin Nunes). The Republcian Party has become unhinged. (And of course, Donald Trump knew about this plan, and endorsed it.)
They're really showing how innocent they are.
The bullshit false victim cry that the GOP has been shut out of the process, is just that.
In no part of our country's history has any committee shut out the other party. Oversight in our history has always involved both parties.
The reason for closed hearings at this point, isn't to hide anything. It is to insure quality control so that the witnesses cannot be corrupted or intimidated.
The GOP knows that this is just the investigation period of the process. And they have been in every hearing thus far.
After the initial investigation, just like a criminal trial, both prosecution and defense will be allowed to present their case in an open trial. Just like a grand jury doesn't decide guilt, just consider if the evidence is worthy of presenting a jury in the following trial.
