I can't make monthly payments on some sort of auto-pay, so if I could make a lump sum donation through an intermediary, I could manage that. Just don't spend it all in one place. 
I will note that the last time I made an online donation to a forum, one of the moderators took the money and made all kinds of excuses about the money disappearing. Once bitten...and not saying that it would happen here, btw.
