The fact that the big bang was not witnessed but a constructed theory is disheartening I guess to the believers of it. Sorry guys its a theory just like creation...you either believe it or choose not to believe it. Still takes faith.
Ha! Unbelievable!
I predicted it on the post #57.

Sorry to inform you, but the term "theory" in the realm of science is a LOT different than the way the term is used colloquially.
In science, a theory, is a model that best explains all the observed evidence. It is not something scientists just pull out of their ass. Theories in science, among other things, have to be able to be falsified. In other words, part of the theory has to contain the type of facts that would prove it wrong. For example: if a rabbit fossil was discovered in the Cambrian layer, this would falsify evolution.
What would falsify the 'theory' (cough, cough...) of creationism?
Evolution is backed by mountains of evidence in many scientific fields of study. It requires no faith to believe. Creationism, is at best, a hypothesis. And that's being generous.
You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.
