'Water comes from the sky' means that Arabs saw rain.

'Iron comes from the sky' means that Arabs knew about meteoric iron.

The context and the literal words do not point to rain in OP's verses; but point to water falling from the sky.
The same is for Iron.

So, rain doesn't qualify as 'water falling from the sky'.  Got it.
