For a long time I used to walk up to the shopping center to get chinese food 2 or 3 times a week. But Between my mom's health issues, prior to her death, and simply getting tired of the same old same old food, I stopped going for a while. So yesterday walked up there and it had been a couple years. I kid you not, the owner's kids had 'BOOM" gotten big.
The son was almost my height with pimples, and the daughter his, sister, looked to be about to start middle school. And all I can think now, being 53, is there any point in saying I know who WC Fields or May West are? Even though even they were before my time? Is there any point in telling youth I remember when there were only 3 TV channels and they all signed off at midnight? Is there any point in trying to explain a rotary phone, which I had growing up mounted on my townhouse kitchen wall? Is there any point in telling them you hoped Gilligan got off the island?
