Even the massive specialst hospital back in my home town resembles a factory. My mum was there a few days... they roll em in: flat out, tubed and wired... next day sitting up for soup > on to a recovery room of 4 sharing for 2 days max > shipped out. I started in a ward for 4, was then moved to a ward of 6, where I would've slept a few nights if I hadn't pushed to go home. (I live 50 miles away so it would've been hard on the family).
