I think Christians fear death because of hell. The priests and preachers and ministers preach that if you do wrong, you are going to hell, which is eternal pain and suffering. Christians are afraid of that. I am not afraid at all of that 
That's why people are afraid of death. The christians who are terrible people, but want to ask for forgiveness the moment before death. You can't ask for forgiveness if you fall asleep and have a heart attack. Or if a ninja comes out of no where and slices your head off
