You have to decide to what extent you want to argue/discuss/debate with them. Speaking from experience, it's going to always be annoying, and they are always going to be pushing their beliefs and norms onto your life regardless of your age or situation. Ergo, you are going to either have to keep hiding your opinions or eventually simply tell them what you think and start saying "tough" when they tell you something mundane you said makes someone sad. Or point out that something they said makes you sad, and therefore you can all sit around talking about nothing but carpet.
Personally, I feel much better making the decisions I want rather than trying to accommodate them, despite the annoyance of continually telling them that it isn't my fault if they don't like something I think, say, or do.
With that said, you can either limit their facebook privileges, say what you want to say and respond how you want to respond, delete annoying comments, or not express yourself.
