I have no idea why it's important to him though. Perhaps he just finds race wars amusing like he finds religious wars amusing (which is my intuition).
Which is fine. It doesn't make God bad. Whatever God wants is good. If it seems trivial and not very deep or meaningful for a supreme being to only care about mere amusement then that's because this is one tiny planet in a gigantic universe that is he that *is* trivial. It's like, when his mind is on 99999999999999999 other thing why do a couple of thoughts matter? Think of a super intelligent philosopher that is mostly philosophizing about important stuff but also has a couple of trivial thoughts. Those couple of trivial thoughts are like God's attention directed at this tiny planet amused by us fighting over him. That is all objectively good though because his utility outweighs this planet's.
