It's neither credible or accurate translations until English became global.
Take this example from the 18th century translation of George Sale:


While the literal English to Arabic -and the original verse- does not even mention neither Greeks nor Persians :



English translations were very poor and very wrong until English became a famous global language, and native Muslims who are familiar with the language began to translate into it.

That's why I insist that your request for an old translation to English is quite strange, I mean if old English translator got simple verses like this wrong; added and forged the original text even; then how do you expect it to give you an honest and authentic meaning ?

The Byzantines WERE Greeks, you boob.

And if you can’t even get the date when a major war ended, how can we expect you to get anything else right?
