Should people stop using the A OK hand sign because some trolls made it mean white power? No. People tried to burn down a courthouse because there was a poster of a basketball player making that hand sign, which represents a three point shot made. Is there anything wrong with saying black lives matter? No. But to many, it means supporting Marxism and tearing down Western civilization, doing away with the nuclear family, defunding or abolishing police, defunding STEM, de-colonizing science, and all this other crap. Still, there's nothing wrong in itself with the simple statement that black lives matter, because they do.
it’s not a sentiment. it’s a idiotic cliche whose airiness is meant precisely to obscure where timely action is of the greatest need.
it’s akin to telling people living next to a mercury spewing smoke stack that “all air matters” .
So get real.
