what if in your world and theological views you are on the wrong side of history?

Aside from the fact that I am not wrong concerning my understanding of god's non-existence, I will attempt to treat the question as a hypothetical. If someday in my lifetime god's existence is proven empirically, then I would be able to easily accept that I had been wrong. That does not mean, however, that the god in question would still be worthy of acknowledgment or love.

How could you not know?

If I was to be judged by a god, first he would have to answer to me. After all, a world that objectively operates as though there is no creator can easily and understandably be viewed as a world where god does not exist.

Absolutely, and that is why I am an atheist.

And furthermore, the questions you have asked are questions that have been repeatedly asked before. We keep giving our same answers, which keep being ignored by the theists who simply cannot fathom the reality of a world without god's existence. The prideful ones, it seems, are the theists who see a god where there is not one and then demand that others see that same god.
