It actually does.
Anomalocaris was saying: "why should the G-20 care about Muslims, since the world doesn't evolve around them" ?
So I answered him: "The world doesn't revolve around anybody, but you can stop acting as if Muslims are only "0.1%" of the world and admit that Muslims compose 24.1% of the world population as the official stats say. Either you liked it or not, our feelings not just matter as Muslims; but actually essential for the balance of this planet."
1-Why the G-20 should care:
"The world doesn't revolve around anybody, but you can stop acting as if Muslims are only "0.1%" of the world and admit that Muslims compose 24.1% of the world population as the official stats say. Either you liked it or not, our feelings not just matter as Muslims; but actually essential for the balance of this planet."
i.e Muslims matter and their feelings matter by a big mighty 24%. Thus; winning them to somebody's side is a big mighty win too.
So the G-20 should start to care for this big number if it ever wanted to harness any interest from it. One way to please this big number is to actually support it instead of supporting a minority of lunatics like MBS.
2-What the G-20 should do:
As suggested in the link I provided in the OP:
Quote: Wrote:Hathloul, and the regime, know that her death might finally awaken the consciences of the G-20 leaders, and spoil the summit. It shouldn’t take that. Macron, Merkel, Boris Johnson, Justin Trudeau and others who don’t share Trump’s love for dictators could accomplish far more than the summit will by setting a simple condition for their attendance: the freedom of Loujain al-Hathloul and her fellow women activists.
And yet, you didn't seem to want people to talk about the subjugation of Muslim women in this thread, which is no more off topic than talking about the percentage of Muslims in the world.
Aren't you employing a double standard?
