The moment you abort a fetus, based solely on the fact that it's female, it's femicide (is that an actual word?).
When a woman is killed by family in an "honour" murder, it's femicide.
When a woman is killed because she violated a law/cultural taboo/tradition that applies only to women, it's femicide.
When an individual kills someone simply because they're female, it's femicide.
And if any of the above are carried out against men, then it's whatever the opposite of "femicide" is.
And example of the latter would bethe crimes of Eileen Wuernos (sp?) who had a general hatred of men.
