No, they did not. They went in looking for someone who had been arrested earlier that day, in some half-assed attempt on the 'war on drugs' which is fucking stupid to begin with. They then shot a woman in her own home, after her boyfriend defended himself against their invasion. Them having a warrant means fuck all.
Them having a warrant does mean fuck all. That’s why they exist. They are not responsible for issuing the warrant. They are responsible for serving it. If there is not strong cause That would reasonably lead them to believe the warrant is illegal, then the warrant does mean fuck all in establishing whether self defense in their position is culpable or not.
It's her universe.
She makes all the rules.
If she says a warrant means nothing - that's it.
