The gentleman in the video makes one especially salient point by my mind - that for many black Americans, being constantly told by the democratic party and their allies that they're victims and dreadfully oppressed etc fucking sucks as they feel they've got good lives and are doing well and life is OK! They do not feel weak, abused and/or pathetic! So The democratic party and aligned BLM movement etc are in fact pushing black voters to the Rethuglican party due to their stances and pronouncements. Trump's second term seems assured. Heaven help us all.

I'll just add, that throughout my life, if there's one thing that I've fucking hated, it's people saying "poor you, poor you, I know your life must be dreadful compared to mine" - especially when they know next to fuck all about my life.

This is nonsense. From election to election for decades, demographics shift and of course blacks are not a monolith. But Democrats are not saying blacks are victims to keep them down, they are saying inequity exists that is deeply rooted in policy. 

Martin Luther King Jr if alive today would acknowledge that certainly life has changed since the civil rights movement and things like segregation are gone. But at the same time, if alive today, he would still recognize economic inequality, and justice inequality, and those things still exist today. He would also recognize that there are also poor rural whites, and white working class hurting as well. 

Nobody wants to keep blacks down accept the old white wealth and old white Senate. The only reason Democrats have hard time delivering is because we are still dealing with the white anxiety of the GOP and their obstruction.

Whites saying blacks are victims isn't a ploy to keep them down, it is a mere recognition that America needs to face that inequality. And it is important to understand this, because in about 30 to 40 years whites will be the minority.
