The acceleration of Apophis asteroid might mean a collision trajectory based on what we know.
I skimmed through this Earthsky article about it. Nice animation for the distance variation between Earth and 99942-Apophis for the next 9 years, but after year 2029, it's too difficult (the pass will alter the trajectory, and there's a large degree (in trajectory & orbit terms) of uncertainty afterwards) to calc the new trajectory more precisely after that year 2029 pass and what will ultimately be able to get a better data on its trajectory after year 2029s pass. But if, after the better calc'd trajectory after the year 2029 pass puts it on a collision trajectory with Earth's orbit around the Sun, we will have approx. 39 years to get our act together and deal with it.
