The idea of demigods predates the jewish myth. As a christian, even more explicitly, you got your demigod ideas from those guys, and that's why it's in your magic book, not believed by jews.
Thor...not a demigod. King of Norway Son of Odin and a mortal woman would be a demigod. Sound familiar?
