I have not seen the movie, and the clips of it that were aired that I have seen left me with an impression that 7 to 10 yr-old girls were being sexualized, which disturbed me, as I have a major problem with that. Even so, as it was presented, it may be a wrong impression. The controversy did not help, as it steered me away from watching it. I also think that the title of the film did not help either. "Cuties" is a word that has many connotations, depending how it is used. A puppy can be said to be cute. A dimpled baby can also be said to be cute. A 20 yr old adult woman can be labeled a "cutie', and depending whether she is dressed in casual attire or in a bikini, the context of her cuteness can be either "cute as a button" or "Hellooo Nurse!/Hey there good looking!" sexualized cuteness. Perhaps a better film title and film poster (as a previous example was given) would have promoted the director's original point and vision better.
Oh, one more thing I have to say. Ted Cruz can go **** himself, the damn Dominionist sack of crap that he is.
