An afterlife would be terrifying...ly exciting (as long as we're not talking "hell" or "hell-like kind of heaven"). I wouldn't mind thousands or even millions more years to explore the world intellectually. And maybe even eternity ends up not being as horrifying as some of us make it out to be.
Nevertheless, I don't put much stock in the possibility of an afterlife. It's most probably just an idea we like to muse about.
