I agree, that shit needs to change. FYI, while there was I time I would have defended the team name. I no longer do. Even my High School was named after a Confederate. That High School has changed it's name.
I get the division win, we got more wins. But I don't get why we played in Washington when we had a worse record.
But if one thinks about it, the NFL is the biggest metaphor for socialism. Even outside the issue of how playoffs structure is set up, when you look at the history of ups and downs over decades, some teams do well others suck, but they all survive.
The Saints of the 1980s constantly had empty stands and fans with paper bags on their heads. Today the NFC East is considered the doormat of the NFL.
Our right wing loves to bemoan that the free market is about if you lose you lose. But when the top loses they are the first to beg government for money.
